In the Stage Management quarter, we will explore in depth issues central to professional stage management. Building on Introduction to Stage Management (H28.0191) we will:• Consider key challenges a professional Stage Manager grapples with throughout the Entertainment Industry;
• Present and analyze Stage Management strategies, styles and techniques;
• Analyze entertainment unions’ work rules as they pertain to Stage Management
• Explore advanced use of the computer as a Stage Management tool;
• Survey stage management opportunities in genres and venues beyond traditional theatre
• Discuss students’ current stage production work;
• Discuss current events pertinent to the entertainment industry
