Biography
Shelly Sabel is a lighting designer whose Off-Broadway credits include several productions with Director Erica Schmidt including As You Like It (The Public Theater); Debbie Does Dallas and Spanish Girl (Second Stage Uptown); Naked Angels; The Director�s Company and The Flea Theatre. Many collaborations with Savion Glover and Tii Di including A tribute to Gregory Hines at The Tillis Center; The Egg (Albany, NY) and the 2002 Olympic Arts Festival. Scenery and lighting for Jared "Choclatt" Crawford�s Keep Bangin� (Savion Glover, director). In addition to her NY work,Shelly has designed for regional theatre companies throughout the US including productions with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; Barrington Stage Company; Hamptons Shakespeare Festival and The Hasty Pudding Theatre in Boston, MA. She is the lighting designer for the windows and the Home Collection at The Ralph Lauren flagship stores on Madison Avenue. Shelly holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
