Biography
Leighton is the Production Manager in the Department. Since joining the Drama Department Production Staff in 1989, he has also held the positions of Scene Shop Supervisor and Technical Director.
Beyond his administrative and teaching responsibilities at NYU, Leighton has worked as a freelance technical director, carpenter, scenic designer, guest lecturer, and production manager. Since 1987, he has worked regularly on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and occasionally the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Leighton has a BFA in Technical Production and a Masters Degree in Construction Project Management. Leighton lives in the East Village with his wife Bev and their sons, Auden and Colton.
