Sports Discounts
Throughout the year, Ticket Central offers a selection of discounted tickets to sports events through its Weekly Specials program. ‘Weekly Specials’ tickets go on sale at the Ticket Central box office on a specific day for a specific game. At certain times, tickets are also available online via the NYUHome portal.
The following is a partial list of sports events that Ticket Central has been able to offer the NYU community at a discounted rate:
- NY Yankees games $6 and up - selected home games throughout the season
- $3 NY Mets games throughout the season
- NY Yankees vs. NY Mets at Citi Field
- NY Knicks games for $12 - selected home games throughout the season
- NY Rangers games $42 - selected home games throughout the season

Please be aware that Ticket Central is NOT TicketMaster™ - we cannot offer tickets to every game played by every area sports team. However, we do try to offer a diverse range of affordable sports options to the NYU community.
Please also be aware that Ticket Central is unable to procure tickets to some popular sports events, due to restrictions on large orders set forth by the individual teams. Such events include:
- Playoff Games
- Football Games
- Yankees vs. Red Sox Games

Group Discounts
If you can't find a particular sports event or game listed on Ticket Central's Weekly Specials list, consider rounding up a bunch of friends and organizing a trip to the game you want to attend.
Ticket Central can help you purchase group tickets to home games played by the following teams:
New York Yankees
New York Mets
New York Knicks
New Jersey Nets
New York Rangers
New Jersey Devils
When you click on any of the links above, you will be taken to that team's group sales information. You can use this information to request group tickets at Ticket Central.
Ticket Central can also help your group purchase tickets to the U.S. Tennis Open.
The group order minimum for many sports events is 25 tickets.
Please note: Group tickets are never available for any of the following:
- Playoff Games
- Football Games
- Yankees vs. Red Sox Games

If you can't find a particular game listed on Ticket Central's Weekly Specials list, and you can't round up enough friends to organize a group order, you can use this resource list will to find the information you need to order individual tickets.
Individual tickets to sports events are rarely discounted. Keep in mind, though, that you can nearly always pay less by purchasing your game tickets at the arena or stadium, instead of using online or phone services that charge extra fees.
Tip: Make sure to sign up for the email lists of your favorite teams (if available). If discounts are made available on tickets, fans on the list find out about them first!
