Commissioned by University Leadership and chaired by Dean Richard Revesz of the NYU School of Law, the IT Task Force (ITTF) is charged with developing and validating a strategic plan for information technology that will ensure the success of NYU's mission and goals in the coming decades.
Pierre Hohenberg, Senior Vice Provost for Research, and Paul M. Horn, Distinguished Scientist in Residence at the Courant Institute and the Department of Physics and Executive-in-Residence at the Stern School of Business, will vice-chair the ITTF. Marilyn McMillan, Associate Provost and Chief Information Technology Officer, will serve on the task force ex officio.
The work of the Task Force encompasses three large objectives:
- Alignment of IT strategy with overall University and School strategies and plans.
- Development of IT strategy for NYU's aspiration to become a global network university.
- Identification of IT efficiencies, as part of NYU's administrative reengineering initiative.
