5 pm Trashed Documentary Film Screening
Kimmel 905
Have you ever thought about all the trash we produce? In this new, award-winning documentary feature, Jeremy Irons embarks on a journey to unveil the effects of the global waste problem. We buy it, we bury it, we burn it and then we ignore it. We keep making things that do not break down. We have heard horrifying facts about unregulated waste before, but with Jeremy Irons as our guide, we discover what happens to the billion or so tons of waste that goes unaccounted for each year. Shedding light on the urgent issue, Trashed then explores the different approaches people are taking to make the necessary change, highlighting solutions to this pressing environmental problem, showing that change is not only necessary, but also underway.
