During the 12 week summer session, New York University opens its residence halls to groups and organizations that are seeking safe, convenient, and affordable housing for their program participants, interns or employees while they are spending their summer in New York City.
NYU Summer Housing partners with over 60 organizations, including academic programs and major corporations, to meet the Summer Housing needs of their participants, interns or employees.
New York University residence halls are located in some of the most vibrant neighborhoods of the city, including Greenwich Village, SoHo and Union Square. All of our residence halls are conveniently located near public transportation, offering easy access to all that New York City has to offer.
NYU Summer Housing offers two group housing options, long-term and short-term housing.
Long-Term Group Housing
Long term group housing is available for groups and organizations with between 10 and 75 program participants seeking housing for a minimum of three weeks and a maximum of eleven or twelve weeks.
Priority is given to groups and organizations whose participants will be enrolled at NYU during the summer or will be participating in an NYU program. Organizations whose participants will not be enrolled at NYU during the summer are eligible for Summer Housing, however, limited facilities are available for participants that will not be enrolled or otherwise affiliated with NYU.
The 2013 Summer Housing program begins on Monday, May 27, 2013 and ends on Saturday, August 10, 2013 (non-NYU affiliated groups) or Saturday, August 17, 2013 (NYU-affiliated groups). Reservations are made by calendar week, Sunday to Saturday, except for the week of May 26, 2013, which starts on a Monday.
Short-Term Group Housing
Short term group housing, or conference housing, is available to NYU affiliated programs and conferences only. Short-term group housing allows NYU affiliated programs and conferences to reserve residence hall space for programs whose participants need housing for less than three weeks. There is no minimum stay for short-term group housing.
The 2013 Summer Housing program begins on Sunday, May 26, 2013 and ends on Saturday, August 17, 2013.
