Meal Plans

NYU Dining offers a wide variety of convenient dining options during the Summer. A meal plan is required for residents assigned to a traditional hall during their residency. Meal plans are optional for residents assigned to apartment-style halls.

Dining Halls are generally open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. (hours may differ between locations). An NYUCard (photo ID) is required for access to dining halls.

Meal allowance reflects the number of meals you are allocated each week. Each time you enter the dining facility, one meal is subtracted from your plan account. Unused meals do not carry over week to week.

Dining Dollars are accepted as cash in all NYU dining locations. They work on the same principle as debit cards. You can use your Dining Dollars to purchase beverages, snacks or full meals from dining locations and the total amount is subtracted from your balance. Unused Dining Dollars carry over week to week. Unused Dining Dollars, at the end of your license period, are not refundable. Please note that Dining Dollars are not the same as Campus Cash.

All residents assigned to a traditional residence hall will be assigned to the 8 meal plan (8 meals and $30 Dining Dollars per week). Residents assigned to a traditional hall must maintain a meal plan.

The following meal plans are available for Summer 2015:

Meal Plans RATE (per week)
12 Meals + $30 Dining Dollars per week $171 (tentative)
10 Meals + $30 Dining Dollars per week $155 (tentative)
8 Meals + $30 Dining Dollars per week $135 (tentative)
