Before you submit your application, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the types of accommodations we offer, as well as our policies and procedures regarding initial payment, and canceling your reservation. As part of your application, you will be required to review and agree to the terms and conditions of the 2015 Summer Housing License.
Please note that once your application is complete, it will take 2-4 weeks to process.
The priority deadline for application submission for current NYU students and non-NYU students enrolling at NYU this summer is March 31, 2015. Non-NYU, non-affiliated applicants are assigned on a first come, first serve basis contingent on the availability of space.
1. NYUHome Account Registration
Current NYU Students & Enrolled Applicants
Current NYU students do not need to register for NYUHome accounts. Applicants enrolled in courses at NYU should receive NYU identification numbers and NYUHome access through their enrollment process.
If you are enrolled in a non-credit NYU SPS course this summer and have a problem accessing the NYU Summer Housing application please email our office at email@example.com.
2. Apply Online
We are no longer accepting applications from non-NYU, non-affiliated applicants.
To access the Summer Housing application log into NYUHome, click on the "NYU Life" tab and then click on the "Student Housing & Meal Plans" link. This will bring you to NYU Housing portal. Click on "Application" at the top of the page and then choose the "Summer 2015" application.
3. Application Reservation Payment
Applicants are required to submit a $500 reservation payment with their application for Summer Housing.
The $500 reservation payment will be credited to the applicant's account and will count towards overall summer housing costs. Please note, all requests to cancel NYU Summer Housing are subject to a cancellation fee.
Applicants may submit payment online or by mailing in a check or money order. Applications are not complete until payment is received.
Reservation Payment Options
Online with eCheck:
Electronic check payments can be made online on the NYU Bursar eSuite located through your NYUHome account. There is no fee for paying with an electronic check.
The checking account must be from a US based bank that allows ACH transactions (ACH is an electronic network for financial transactions in the US). Applicants must provide their checking account number as well as their bank's routing number (both of these numbers can be found on a blank check).
Please note that upon entering payment, your checking account will be debited for the payment amount. If NYU Summer Housing is unable to offer housing, the payment will be fully refunded.

NYU & Enrolled students (enrolled in coursework currently or for Summer 2015)
Payment by Mail:
Applicants who wish to pay by money order or who would prefer to pay with a standard bank check may submit payment by mail.
Payments by mail must be received by NYU Summer Housing within one week of application completion. Checks or money orders must be made payable to "New York University."
Please download the payment form, attach your check or money order to the form, and return the documents to the mailing address listed on the form.

Special Accommodation Requests
In accordance with the applicable local, state, and federal disability laws, New York University will provide reasonable accommodations for an individual eligible to reside in Summer Housing who has a qualifying physical or mental disability.

The deadline for summer residents with a confirmed reservation to submit documentation to the Moses Center is April 1, 2015. Documentation submitted after this date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants Under 18
Applicants under the age of 18 may apply online provided they will be actively participating in an NYU sponsored high school program during their residency.
At a later time, depending on your program affiliation, you may be contacted by email and will be required to submit a consent form completed by a parent or guardian.
