Payment Information
Upon submission of the Summer Housing application, applicants must submit payment for either the full amount of the estimated charges or, minimally, a payment equal to the estimated housing and dining charges for three weeks.
Calculate your charges based on your first preference (hall and room type), enrollment status (enrolled or associate) and if applicable, meal plan. If full payment is not submitted with the application, the remaining balance must be paid in full by the end of the first week of your reservation.
Applicants applying online can pay online with a personal check (direct debit from a US bank checking account), credit card (American Express, MasterCard and Discover are accepted; NYU does not accept Visa) or can opt to pay by mail, submitting a check or money order, payable to "New York University", within one week of application submission.
Please note that all credit card transactions are processed for NYU by CheckFree. CheckFree will assess a nonrefundable convenience fee of 2.5 percent of the amount of the credit card payment to the cardholder.
Personal checks are processed for NYU by NoCheck. Applicants who pay by check are not subject to a convenience fee. Applicants with a returned check record with New York University or that have checks returned due to insufficient funds will be required to pay their balance by certified check or money order.
Applicants submitting a paper application must include payment; credit card, check or money order, with their application. All credit card payments are subject to a nonrefundable convenience fee of 2.5% of the amount of the credit card payment.
