Overview
NYU summer housing provides two styles of residence hall living: traditional (no kitchen, meal plan required) and apartment-style (shared kitchen, meal plan optional).
All residence halls are coed; bedrooms and suites are single sex.
The residence halls are comprised of multi-bedroom suites with shared bathrooms. In apartment-style residence halls, kitchens are shared among all residents of the suite/apartment.
Smoke-free residence halls: Effective with the Fall 2006 semester, all New York University residence halls are now smoke-free. For additional information about this decision, please click here.
Restriction on balconies & windows: New York University undertook a project to restrict the opening of balconies and windows in all residence halls for health and safety reasons. For additional information about this policy, please click here.
