Furnishings

All residents are provided with the following furniture items:

• Extra-long twin size bed
• Mattress
• Desk
• Desk chair
• Dresser

Additional furniture may not be brought into the halls.

Residents will need to bring their own bed sheets, blankets, pillows, washcloths, and towels.  Residents are encouraged to bring a desk or floor lamp to supplement in-room lighting.

Residents assigned to an apartment-style hall must provide their own cooking and eating utensils.

Residents assigned to a non-air-conditioned residence hall may bring a fan.  Air-conditioning units may not be brought into NYU residence halls.

Please note that the following items are not permitted in NYU residence halls:

• Halogen lamps
• Hot plates
• Electric broilers
• Additional furniture
• Candles
• Firearms, ammunition, or other weapons
• Pets
