DescriptionThis course is a cultural anthropological study, as well as a hands-on melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic analysis of major world artists and their concepts. From Africa and its artists to the Middle East and the rhythmic diaspora that has influenced, if not created, the music’s of the Americas, the Caribbean, and every island in between. Focus will be on the arranging, writing for, and analysis of the music, as well as exploring the recording process.
This course is also open to High School students.
This course has a $230 lab fee.
