Eligibility

To be considered for admission, applicants must:

• Be in good academic and disciplinary standing, as demonstrated in the academic transcript and letter of recommendation.
• Be entering their junior or senior year of high school in Fall 2009.
• Have a summer residence within commuting distance from NYU—Precollege students are not permitted to live in campus housing.

Applicants who do not meet the above criteria should consider the following:

• Students who have earned a high school diploma or GED or those who will graduate high school in spring/summer 2009 should apply to NYU Summer in Greenwich Village. For more information: www.nyu.edu/summer/summerny
• Students who will not complete their sophomore year of high school by June 30, 2009 or who do not have a summer residence within commuting distance of NYU may want to consider another NYU summer high school program:
  • The Tisch School of the Arts
  • The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development
  • The School of Continuing and Professional Studies
