Cost and Payments
Costs
Costs can be found in each program description. Generally, costs are broken down by tuition, registration fees, housing, and program activities fees (excursions, cultural events, etc). Some programs or courses within a program carry special fees or lab fees. Housing fees sometimes include a daily breakfast, but usually students are responsible for their own meals.
Airfare, books and school supplies, and personal expenses are not included in the cost of the program. Some programs offer roundtrip airfare from the New York area at special reduced rates through travel agencies who have considerable experience with our study abroad programs. However, students are under no obligation to use the agencies we work with; they are free to make their own travel arrangements. Details about flights and arrival are provided upon accepted to the program.
Payments
The Office of the Bursar at NYU will send a billing statement once a student has confirmed admission to the program and has been registered for the proper amount of credits. Please visit the NYU Bursar web site for billing information.
Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. An applicant who cancels after submitting a deposit must forfeit the deposit.
Individuals who cancel once a program begins will be responsible for paying a portion of the program tuition and housing charges.
