Refund Schedule
A refund of tuition will be made by the Office of the Bursar after presentation of a Program Change form approved by the authorized officer of administration of the school in which the student is enrolled, provided it is filed within the scheduled refund period for the session, as indicated below. A Program Change form may be filed in person or by mail. This form is obtainable at the administration and/or registration offices of the individual schools. The date on which the Program Change is filed, not the last date of attendance in class, is considered the official date of the student's withdrawal. It is this date that serves as the basis for computing any refund granted the student.
Refund Period Schedule for Summer Session 2008
Courses meet:
- Three Week Session
- Six or Seven Week Session
- Eight Week Session
- Nine or Ten Week Session
- Eleven or Twelve Week Session
Please be advised that refunds are calculated based on the date a session begins, not the date that the first class is held.
Refund schedules for sessions other than those shown above are equated to the length of the sessions on the same basis. Exceptions to the published refund schedule may be appealed in writing to the refund committee of the school of registration and should be supported by appropriate documentation regarding the circumstances that warrant consideration of an exception. Students enrolled in overseas programs may not receive a partial refund of tuition for any reason once they are engaged in the program abroad. The entire fee may be refunded to a student who has paid but for some urgent reason must withdraw completely before the program begins.
The Board of Trustees of New York University reserves the right to alter this schedule of fees without notice.
