DescriptionMeets in the second summer session and is taught by playwright James Farrell, who visits from SUNY Bingham to teach for us in the summer.
The course covers the writing and completion of a full-length play. Certificate students will come with the outline and the first half of their written play. Required work in the class includes extensive scene work. Students will complete the play begun in Developing the Dramatic Idea and then do a rewrite. Or they may begin, complete, and rewrite a new full-length play. If you plan to do a new work you must come to the first class with three ideas for full-length plays. Each idea can be described in one or two paragraphs.

Students interested in taking this course for graduate credit should register for H80.2040.001.
Students interested in taking this course as noncredit for a fee of $2532.00 should register for H99.8002.001.
