New York University Resources

Department of Residential Education

The Department of Residential Education is responsible for developing meaningful community experiences and enhancing learning outside of the classroom. The Department of Residential Education oversees programming, hall activities, and furthering the academic mission of the university in each residence hall.

Department of Housing

The Department of Housing is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the residence halls. NYU Housing is responsible for room assignments and change processes, charge adjustment, and adherence to the terms and conditions of the housing license.

NYU Dining Services

NYU Dining Services is responsible for the administration and operation of the dining halls.

Office of Public Safety

The Department of Public Safety is responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety and security for the members of the NYU community. Public Safety oversees campus transportation services, the supervision of Public Safety Officers, and the delivery of all public safety services.

Wellness Exchange

The Wellness Exchange is the constellation of the University’s expanded and enhanced programs and services designed to address the overall health and mental health needs of students. The Wellness Exchange is also available for students who just need to talk or to call about a friend.

The Inter-Residence Hall Council at NYU is affiliated with the following student organizations.

NYU Chapter of NRHH (National Residence Hall Honorary)

NRHH is a student organization at New York University that truly believes that recognition is an important aspect of the residential experience. The NRHH Chapter at New York University is made up of the top 1% of residential student leaders.

NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls)

NACURH is the largest student run organization in the world. There are over 300 colleges and universities affiliated with the organization from all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.

NEACURH (North East Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls)

NEACURH is one of the eight affiliates of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. NEACURH is made up of public and private colleges in New York and New England.
