Hi there!  My name is Nic Evans, Assistant Director for Leadership within the Department of Residential Education.  Since 2006 I have had the privilege of serving as an Advisor to the Inter-Residence Hall Council and just can't get enough!

Prior to my arrival at New York University (NYU), I attended Johnson & Wales University where I earned my B.S. in Marketing and Leadership Studies.  I then went on to earn my M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration, Curriculum & Instruction from the University of South Florida (USF).  After completing my studies, I served the Department of Residential Education for two years as a Community Development Educator before moving into my current role.

I have had the opportunity to advise several student organizations including my work with students at the nation's very first Robert Greenleaf Servant Leadership House at USF.  This was an amazing experience and I still maintain contact with several of the student leaders from the program.  I was also able to take my passion for student leadership to the next level and instructed credit-bearing leadership courses in the leadership minor program at USF.  I frequently present at local, regional and national conferences on the topics of leadership, the use of film as an educational tool, and personal money management.

I have tremendous respect for all student leaders.  In addition to providing residents with an amazing leadership development opportunity, the Inter-Residence Hall Council plays an important role in enhancing the quality of life for all students living at NYU. I would highly encourage you to consider getting involved with your residence hall council and IRHC!
