Scholarships and Financial Aid

NYU Students
NYU students who study abroad in Paris keep all the scholarship and financial aid that they normally receive while attending NYU's Washington Square campus. Please visit the financial aid page of our website for information on how to request additional aid for your semester abroad. All NYU students who plan to spend a fall semester studying abroad should apply for the prestigious Sir Harold Acton Undergraduate Fellowship. The deadline to apply for this fall-only scholarship is early April.

Visiting Students
Specialized Study Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 are available to students from a college or university other than NYU who plan to pursue advanced studies in a variety of subject areas while studying at NYU in Paris. To be considered for a Paris visiting student scholarship please complete and submit the application form found in the Financial Aid section of our web site with the required materials once you have applied to the NYU in Paris program. Fall applicants will be notified via email by mid-April and spring applicants by mid-November. If you have a question about one of our scholarships please email abroad.admissions@nyu.edu.

In addition, student insurance (health and accident) is mandatory and will vary according to individual policies.

Billing

NYU’s Electronic billing system is the official means of generating tuition bills for all enrolled students. Within a few weeks of registering for classes, students (with the exception of visiting students whose home schools choose to bill them directly for their term at NYU) will receive a message at their official NYU e-mail address notifying them that a bill for tuition, and fees is available.

Figure includes tuition for full-time student stats covering 12-18 points, deposit and required registration fees, and several program activities and excursions. For each point taken in excess of 18 points in a semester, there is an additional charge per point. Students are billed electronically through NYU's E-bill system. Please visit the NYU Bursar web site for details about the E-bill process.
*The rates listed are for the 2009-2010 academic year. NYU students pay their individual school tuition, which may differ for Stern and Tisch.

**Least expensive option is based on a chambre de bonne (very small, no amenities). Most expensive option is based on a private, centrally located studio. Most lodging accommodation costs (modest studios, apartment shares, home stays) are in the middle and run $4,000-5,000 per semester. Costs may fluctuate with exchange rate. Rent is paid upon move-in and then at the beginning of each month directly to landlords.
