The academic program at NYU in London is defined by a commitment
to excellence, outstanding faculty, and a broad-based liberal arts
curriculum. London is an international hub for culture, the arts and
finance, and the coursework planned for the Fall in London Freshman
Program reflects just that. Courses will cover
areas such as writing composition, economics and the foundations of
western culture. The NYU in London academic center is located in the
heart of Bloomsbury, the neighborhood from which the
early-20th-century literary group that included E.M. Forster and
Virginia Woolf took its name, and courses in composition and British
Literature will draw on this local heritage.
Many of the professors at NYU in London come from the neighboring
University of London, one of England’s premier institutions of
higher learning. Students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one
with professors who are readily accessible to students outside of class.
