Congratulations on your January admission! By now you’re probably excited to start your college experience next spring, but might be wondering how your fall semester would be best spent. New York University’s Office of Global Programs offers you the opportunity to begin your college career in Florence. There, you’ll take select courses that will transfer back to your home institution so that you stay on track toward your degree requirements and graduate on time. You will join a group of NYU freshmen that will also participate in this program.

You may have accessed this web site through the NYU Study Abroad web site, but you should use this site as your main reference for forms and information about the Fall in Florence Freshman Program. During the academic year, upperclassmen from both NYU and other leading US colleges and universities study at NYU in Florence. All students take classes at at La Pietra, NYU’s breathtaking 57-acre estate located just north of the city center with views of the Duomo. Surrounded by a beautiful Renaissance-revival garden, cypress-studded hills, and olive groves, La Pietra houses an early Renaissance art collection, classrooms, student residences, a dining facility, and computer labs.
