In addition to the academic centers abroad, NYU students have the opportunity to study away from New York at one of the University’s partner institutions by participating in a student exchange. The international Exchange Program enables NYU students to study at a variety of institutions in 13 countries – all distinguished research universities – while retaining matriculation at NYU and earning NYU credit.

Many universities offer course work in English and others require advanced knowledge of a foreign language.

The Faculty Resource Network has established a student exchange program for outstanding undergraduates between New York University and three historically black and two Hispanic-serving colleges: Morehouse College, Spelman College, Xavier University of Louisiana, University of Puerto Rico (Rio Piedras), and University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico.

New York University students who are accepted into the exchange program will spend a semester of full-time study at one of the participating institutions listed above

The program will be offered for the spring semester of 2008. Participating students will reside in on-campus housing facilities and participate in honors program activities. NYU students can satisfy major and other degree requirements while studying at one of the host colleges by receiving prior written approval from their academic advisor.
