NYU's Berlin program is designed to encourage independent exploration by students in the classroom and beyond. Courses draw on the long-standing academic history of Germany, and specifically Berlin, as a center for research into the social sciences.

The curriculum draws from Berlin's heritage, but is certainly not limited by it. At NYU in Berlin students will also take advantage of the political history of Germany through courses such as "Social Policy in Modern Societies". Germany has remained one of the most influential players in world politics in the 20th century, emerging as a political power after waves of different leaders and regimes. Students will also become familiar with one of the most modern and efficiently planned contemporary metropolis's that has been nearly entirely restructured in the last fifty years, through courses that bring students out of the classroom and into contact with the living, breathing city on a daily basis.

Please see the course offerings page for a complete list of courses and descriptions.
