Eligibility
Applicants to NYU study abroad programs are generally registered at an accredited college or university in the United States. Students who participate in study abroad programs have completed their freshman year of study and have attained a GPA of at least 3.0. Students who have completed some college-level work but who are not presently enrolled in a college or a university or who have already graduated are also eligible to apply.

Notification

Reserving your spot
Once notified of admission, students are required to submit a non-refundable $300 deposit to confirm their space in the program. Students for whom the deposit represents a financial hardship are encouraged to call the Study Abroad Admissions Office at (212) 998-4433 after they are admitted.
Please note that spring programs are especially popular; in previous years, some spring programs have closed as early as mid-September.
