The traditional images evoked by thoughts of Paris – its rich history, impressive architecture, inspiring art, and fine cuisine – in reality provide only a partial picture of what it truly offers as an incredibly modern, international and diverse city. As not only the cultural center but also the crossroads of politics and business in France, Paris has emerged as a leader in Europe and the world. NYU has established a second program in Paris to seize upon the often overlooked multicultural, cutting-edge side of this European capital.

NYU’s partnership with The American University of Paris (AUP) provides new opportunities for NYU students to study in Paris for a semester or year. With NYU at AUP, you'll acquire or improve your French language skills; experience a different culture; and explore the art, literature, politics, and history of this unparalleled city – all while taking courses in English or French for credit toward your major or minor! AUP is centrally located on the Left Bank, near the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides, and affords close proximity to the many offerings of Paris.

The NYU at AUP study abroad option is only available to current NYU students, however, if you are a student from an outside college or university and would like to study abroad in France through NYU you should consider our NYU in Paris program.
