"New York University requires all freshmen living in NYU housing to participate in the NYU Dining meal plan program. All freshmen will automatically be assigned the 300 Flex meal plan. However, on July 8, 2014, freshmen may select to change their meal plan. Meal Plan changes may only be made by submitting the online form via NYUHome > ""Housing Forms"" log-in channel > Housing Forms options.
Forms submitted between September 2 – September 13, 2014 for meal plan changes or cancellations are pro-rated and calculated on a daily basis. September 13, 2014 will be the last day to change a meal plan.
All residents living in traditional style residence halls (Brittany, Founders, Goddard, Rubin, and Weinstein) must maintain a 225 Flex meal plan or higher. Freshmen living in apartment style residence halls are required to maintain a 113 Flex meal plan or higher.
Most students are automatically enrolled in an NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan. Students can use the online process to change their NYU plan option or to waive the NYU plan if they maintain alternate insurance coverage that meets the University's criteria at www.nyu.edu/health/insurance.
Student Fall Break with no classes scheduled. Note that University Offices are open. Residence halls are also open throughout the break. Dining Halls have limited hours.
Parents of new freshmen and transfer students are invited to attend this one-day program of workshops and receptions hosted by individual schools and Student Affairs offices.
