National Scholarships and Fellowships

Scholarships and fellowships, like other academic awards and prizes, are important not only as recognition of excellence but also as incentives for further achievement. NYU undergraduates may apply for a number of distinguished external scholarships and fellowships, which can deepen and enhance students' academic experiences. Well-known examples include the Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman scholarship programs, as well as fellowships named for Henry Luce and Andrew Mellon. For an overview of these and other competitive national scholarship and fellowship opportunities at NYU, resources for specialized advisement, and links to related information, please visit the Student National Scholarship Competitions page.
