A Letter from Marc Wais

Welcome to New York University - New York!

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has told me you’ve chosen to join
our exceptional community of scholars, scientists, athletes, innovators, change agents, artists, entrepreneurs, hackers, and academics from around the world.

To help you prepare for a smooth arrival on campus, this website features action items to complete over the summer and various communications that you can expect to receive via mail and email. These include some of the most important deadlines, but are not the full list — be sure to visit nyu.edu/nextstop for the latest information by month. Your school or program will also send details about orientation and course registration in June.

All official communications will be sent to your NYU email address. Please activate your account now at start.nyu.edu — and check your inbox regularly.

I hope these Next Stop NYU communications help ease your transition to NYU and turn anxiety into pure anticipation and excitement.

On that note, we may be visiting a city near you to host a New Student Send-Off this summer. We’d love for you to register and attend if you live nearby.

I wish you and your family a terrific summer, and look forward to greeting you on campus in August!

With all best wishes,

Marc Wais
Senior Vice President for Student Affairs
