New International Students

This page provides important information and links specifically for new international students who will start their fall semester in New York. This page complements, but does not replace, information found on other Next Stop NYU webpages — please read all communications, not just this page, to be prepared for your arrival at NYU.

Activating Your NYU Email

Students with a home address outside of the U.S. will receive all "mailed" communications electronically via their NYU email address. Visit start.nyu.edu to activate your account as soon as possible. Digital versions will also be available on the Next Stop NYU monthly pages.

Helpful Point of Contact

The NYU Office of Global Services serves all international students on campus. Whether you have a question about registering for classes or opening a bank account, contact OGS to get guidance and support.

Translated Documents

By popular request, we have translated the Next Stop NYU brochure into the three most common languages spoken by international students at NYU: Spanish, Korean, and Chinese. Although all official University policies and communications are published in English, we hope these translations help family members prepare for your move to New York City.
