NYU to Create Center for Academic and Spiritual Life
NYU and the Archdiocese of New York have completed the long-discussed sale of the site of the former NYU Catholic Center. The site, on Washington Square South and Thompson Street, will become home to NYU's Center for Academic and Spiritual Life, which will include spaces for religious observance, offices for NYU's Chaplains' Circle, classes, music rehearsals, and conferences, and will include space for an ongoing Catholic presence. The creation of this Center will provide a communal home for our students' religious and spiritual lives, as well as furnish us with additional academic space in our core area. Read more.

Relaxation Oasis
Check out the new Mindfulness Initiative - a joint collaboration between NYU's Counseling & Behavioral Health Services and the Wellness Exchange. This initiative was founded on the belief that mindfulness, the simple act of being aware of one's experience in the present moment, can be transformative to the NYU community. Virtually interact in the calming corner or yoga room, or ask the Stresspert! Check it out!

NYUeVita
Are you one of the 4,000 NYU students who have already started building a personalized online portfolio to share with potential employers and/or graduate schools? Check out NYUeVita, the new online service that provides students a convenient and organized place to archive their experiences outside the classroom. Designed to complement a student's academic transcript and professional resume, NYUeVita presents accomplishments, interests and level of involvement in the NYU community and beyond. Did we mention you can store and share your writing samples, music, art, video and more? Visit www.nyuevita.nyu.edu.
