Transition 101: Academic Success
Thursday, September 13 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm | Kimmel Center, Room 905
One of the major stresses of transferring is in relation to credits and academic advisement. This week we will invite Academic Advisors from various schools to speak about registration, advisement and give students pointers on how to make the most of their experience academically at NYU. Resources and pamphlets will also be available about learning centers, study abroad and library resources. Don't forget to RSVP here.

Bike Share/Battery Park Bonanza
Friday, September 14 at 4:00pm | Kimmel Center, Room 908
Here's the blurb for the bike share event next week: Join new transfer and transitioning students in exploring New York on two wheels! We will start with a short bike share tutorial and then head down to Battery Park together on bikes. Learn all about the Bike Share program while seeing New York in a new way and making some new friends! Don't forget to RSVP here.

Shake Shack Outing
Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00pm | Meet in Kimmel Center Lobby
Join your Transfer/Transition Ambassadors for a trip to one of NYC's most popular burger stands! Enjoy the company of other transfer and transitioning students in the beautiful Madison Square Park while indulging in a delicious FREE milkshake! Meet us in the Kimmel Center Lobby and we'll head up to Shake Shack together!

Operation ID
Wednesdays, September 12 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm | D'Agostino Hall, 110 West 3rd Street, Lower Level Lounge
Wednesday, September 19 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm | Kimmel Center 2nd Floor Grand Stairs
In conjunction with the New York Police Department, the Department of Public Safety is hosting Operation ID. Register your cell/smart phones, iPods, tablets, laptop computers and other electronic devices with the police and have them discreetly "tagged" using an infra red pen, so that if a device gets stolen or lost and is reported to the police, identification of the owner is possible when an arrest or recovery of the property is made. This program is available for the entire NYU community free of charge.
