Ellis Island Outing
Saturday, April 14th at 11:00am | Meet in the Kimmel Center Lobby
Join your TA's Emily and Christian for a journey through time as we venture to Ellis Island. Take a ferry on over past Lady Liberty and meander through exhibits and the museum at your own pace. Trace your family roots too. The trip is entirely free, and space is limited! Look out for a formal invitation in next week's newsletter. RSVP required by Wednesday, April 11th to participate. Thursday, April 19th at 6:30pm | Meet in Kimmel Center Lobby
Join the Transfer/Transition Ambassdors for a trip to one of NYC's most popular burger stands! Enjoy the company of other transfer and transitioning students in the beautiful Madison Square Park while indulging in a delicious FREE milkshake! Meet us in the Kimmel Center Lobby and we'll head up to Shake Shack together. Don't forget to RSVP!

Begins Monday, April 16th
The Fall 2012 registration period begins on Monday, April 16th. All students have been assigned a registration date and time which can be found in the "Enrollment Dates" section in the Student Center on Albert. If you have any registration questions, please contact the Office of the University Registrar at registration@nyu.edu.

Signs & Rhymes - Intersections of Deaf & Hip Hop Cultures
Monday, April 16th from 5:00pm tp 7:00pm | Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts
Hip-Hop has the power to affect social change, through its use of lyrics, rhythm, and political influence. Hip-Hop has a relationship with a vast and diverse community of people, and the Deaf community is no exception. Throughout the past several years, Deaf musicians have turned to hip-hip as a vehicle for expression, supplementing spoken words and rapping with American Sign Language to create a visually-stimulating, socially-integrated experience for all kinds of audiences. Presented by Gallatin Student Council. RSVP here.

SSC Senator at-Large Applications
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, April 18th
The Student Senators Council is composed of 23 student senators elected by their peers to sit alongside faculty, deans, and administration on the University Senate. Students are invited to apply for candidacy as a senator at-large for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applications, must complete the application form here, and send a copy of his/her resume/CV and a 500-word personal statement to student.government@nyu.edu by Wednesday, April 18th.

Even though graduation is a year away, the early stages of your job search should begin now!
