Transfer & Transitioning Student Association Meeting

Are you a transfer / transitioning student that wants to get involved with NYU while also meeting awesome people? Join the Transfer &Transitioning Student Association(TTSA) every Wednesday for the opportunity to help plan great events/programs for the transfer/transitioning community. This week, come learn about how to get involved and help plan upcoming events this semester, including a big community service trip.
City Bakery Outing

What's better than hot chocolate on a cold winter day? FREE hot chocolate on a cold winter day. Come celebrate the coming of March with some especially delicious hot chocolate at City Bakery!! This Thursday is the final day of hot chocolate month (yes, that's a thing), and we are treating you and other transfers to City Bakery's spectacular hot chocolate of the day. RSVP on Facebook. Explore NY: Greek Astoria
Saturday, March 9th at 11:00am | Meet in Kimmel Center Lobby
Join the Transfer Ambassadors and Explore NY on an adventure to Astoria, Queens! See one of the largest Greek communities outside of Greece with just the swipe of a Metrocard. Experience New York the Greek way.You will visit a cathedral, taste Greek delicacies made from recipes that have traveled many miles, see the bakery that created the cake used in My Big Fat Greet Wedding, and meet a culture that cherishes its past as much as its future. At the end of this tour you will truly understand that phrase "yasso". Metrocard and food will be provided! Space is limited and RSVP's are required. Please note that after submitting your RSVP, you must confirm your spot by dropping off a $5 refundable deposit at the Student Resource Center before March 1st. Questions? Brooklyn Nets Game
Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30pm | Meet in Kimmel Center Lobby
Join your TA's on a trip to Brooklyn to watch the Nets host the New Orleans Hornets in the new Barclay's Center! This will be a fun night out for fans and non-fans alike and a great opportunity to further explore the city! Share the experience of watching an NBA game with one of the most passionate fan bases in sports and your fellow transfer students. The cost of the trip will be $10 - the Student Resource Center will cover the rest! Space is limited and RSVP's are required. Apply to be a Transfer Ambassador

Transfer/Transition Ambassadors (TAs) are student leaders who successfully transferred or transitioned to NYU and now assist the Student Resource Center with providing fun and interactive programming and guidance for new and returning transfer and transitioning students. Being a TA is a great leadership opportunity and a great way to meet and inspire new transfer and transitioning students to explore and make the most of their time at NYU and in NYC! If you have any questions about the position, there will be a TA Info Session on March 7th, or you can e-mail Zach Harrell or Naomi Karp. Applications are available online here.
Class Activity Board Meetings
It's never too late to GET INVOLVED. Class Activities Boards are a great way for NYU undergraduate students to get involved with campus life, meet other active students, plan interesting and fun events, and gain valuable leadership experience.
