The Transfer & Transitioning Student Association is a student-run organization that, in affiliation with the Student Resource Center, works to enhance student life for transfer and transitioning students at NYU. Come to our bi-weekly meetings to learn about how to get involved and help plan Transfer Recognition Day!
Transfer Recognition Day

The Transfer & Transitioning Student Association is hosting Transfer Recognition Day at the end of November! This day will be a series of events to celebrate the hard work of new and returning transfers. Transfer Recognition Day is co-sponsored by the Student Resource Center, LiveWellNYU, and CCTOP - Steinhardt: Don't Just Transfer. Transform. Don't forget to RSVP on Facebook! The days events are:
- Morning Bites: 9-11AM in Lafayette, Carlyle, 2nd Street, and the Commuter Lounge in Kimmel
- Transfer Treats: 9AM-5PM, Student Resource Center (Kimmel 210)
- FREE Q'Doba Lunch: 12-2PM, 184 Bleecker Street
- TransferMation Bake Sale & Raffle: 3-5PM, Kimmel Center Lobby
- Social & Appetizers: 6-8PM, Rosenthal Pavilion (Kimmel 10th Floor). *Awards presentation @ 7PM
Transfer & Transitioning Student Outing: Rockefeller Center
Tuesday, December 4th from 5:00pm | Meet on Kimmel Center Grand Stairway
Midterms are finally over and finals are right around the corner. So take a small break and join the NYU Transfer Ambassadors for an exciting trip to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree. This will be a great way to bond with other transfer and transitioning students, experience the magnificent scenery of Rockefeller Center, and best of all, enjoy hot chocolate on the house! Metro Cards will be provided as well.
End of Year Study Break
Wednesday, December 5th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm | Location TBA
Come relax at the transfer and transitioning student end of the year stress relieving celebration! We will have delicious, free holiday themed food. There will be relaxing and fun activities including cookie decorating, NYU Stressbuster massages and watching a holiday movie to get us in the spirit. Bring your friends and relax before finals! Come kick back, relax and have a cookie!
Student Health Center Focus Group
The Student Health Center (SHC) is seeking students to participate in a focus group on Wednesday, Dec 5, 6-7:30 PM to examine the strengths and challenges of the SHC from students' perspectives, as well as priorities that students would like to see the SHC focus on over the next 3 years. Both users and non-users of the SHC are encouraged to participate. Focus group participants will receive free dinner and a $15 gift card to Amazon. RSVP to email@example.com by Friday, Nov 30.
Intergroup Dialogue Applications available! Deadline: December 2 by midnight
Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) is a nationally recognized 1-credit course that brings together small groups of undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds to share their experiences and gain new knowledge related to diversity and social justice. This 8-week course takes place in the spring semester only and is facilitated by NYU Graduate Students. Credit is offered through the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities in the Professions within the Steinhardt School of Culture, Communication & Education. Questions? Class Activity Board Meetings
Class of 2013: Thursday from 12:30-1:30pm
Class of 2014: Tuesday from 1-2pm
Class of 2015: Monday from 5-6pm
Class of 2016: Monday from 6:30-7:30pm
It's never too late to GET INVOLVED. Class Activities Boards are a great way for NYU undergraduate students to get involved with campus life, meet other active students, plan interesting and fun events, and gain valuable leadership experience. Attend a meeting next week in the NYU Student Resource Center (2nd Floor of Kimmel).
