TRANSFER & TRANSITIONING STUDENT EVENTS
Transition 101: Career Considerations
Thursday, October 4 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm | Wasserman Center Presentation Room B (33 E. 13th Street, 2nd Floor)
This week’s Transition 101 will focus on the exploration of internships and part-time jobs. The Wasserman Center for Career Development will introduce students to the resources available to them – from on-campus jobs, to internship opportunities, and thinking about their future career. Additionally, students will be able to bring their resumes/cover letters to the work-shop and ask specific questions to help them begin to explore their academic and career paths. Don't forget to RSVP here.
16 Handles Outing
Thursday, October 4 at 7:00pm | Meet in Kimmel Center Lobby
FREE Froyo in the Fall! It might be getting colder outside, but froyo is year round. 16 Handles is, and has been, a rapidly expanding self-serve frozen yogurt chain. Come pick your favorite flavors and toppings, and celebrate a successful first month at NYU! We will meet in the Kimmel Lobby at 7pm and travel over to 16 Handles together. Come out and meet other students!
Join the Dining Advisory Board
Get involved by becoming a member of the Dining Advisory Board. Tell us what you want, what you like, what you don't like, and what just plain bugs you. It's easy; it doesn't require much time and will contribute to the NYU community. The committee will meet on the first Monday of each month from 3:30pm-4:30pm, starying in October. If you are interested, contact Ann Marie Powell at email@example.com.
Class Activity Board Meetings
Class of 2013: Thursday from 12:30-1:30pm, Class of 2014: Tuesday from 1-2pm, Class of 2015: Monday from 5-6pm
It's never too late to GET INVOLVED. Class Activities Boards are a great way for NYU undergraduate students to get involved with campus life, meet other active students, plan interesting and fun events, and gain valuable leadership experience. Attend a meeting next week in the NYU Student Resource Center (2nd Floor of Kimmel).
