Friday marks the beginning of the Spring 2010 Tear It Up! Students from across the university will gather to watch the men’s and women’s basketball teams take on UAA-rival Carnegie Mellon University. Join your Transfer Ambassadors and head over there together. FREE food and FREE Tie-Dye T-shirts!

Understanding Your Credit Report

At this seminar, you’ll learn who needs to build good credit and why, the significanance of your credit report and credit score, how to establish credit if you don’t have any, how to rebuild a good credit history, tips for using credit wisely, pitfalls that could cost you plenty, and your rights and responsibilities. You’ll learn how to evaluate your own situation by discussing a case study - an individual not unlike others who didn’t understand the implications of early financial decisons on the ability to get credit down the road. Sponsored by the NYU Federal Credit Union.
Amplifying the Voices of Iraqi Refugees

Please join Intersections for the second ChangeTheStory Lecture series. It will begin with a special screening of the Iraqi Voices Amplification Project highlight video. This will be followed by a panel discussion, which will explore different methods used to raise awareness about the Iraqi refugee crisis. The Undergraduate Cultural Training Program (UCTP) provides participants an opportunity to further develop their knowledge of diversity and social justice issues, as well as their organization and planning skills. Major areas UCTP focuses on include race, ethnicity, religion, and socioeconomic class. This position is a one year commitment.
