Card Decorating for Soldiers
Wednesday, October 21st, 6:00 p.m.

Student Resource Center Conference Room

Get together with other transfer students to create and design holiday greeting cards for our soldiers overseas. Let your artistic side shine with paint, crayons, stickers and more! Hot Chocolate and cookies will be provided.

Community Service Project: Community Kitchen and Food Pantry of West Harlem
Thursday, October 29th, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Meet in the Kimmel lobby at 2 pm.

Looking for a way to get involved and help others? Interested in obtaining community service experience? Join other transfer students in volunteering at the Community Kitchen and Food Pantry of West Harlem. Two spots are left, so please be sure of your commitment before signing up. Round Trip Metro Card and dinner after the project will be provided! If interested, RSVP here.

Madame Tussauds Haunted House: After Dark

After Dark! Spaces are limited, and tickets to this spooky event are on a first come first serve basis! Stop by the SRC with a $10 deposit (non-refundable) to secure your spot! NYC Knicks Game
Friday, November 13th, 2009
Meet in the Kimmel Lobby at 6:30 pm

Come watch the Knicks play Golden State. Game starts at 7:30 pm but we will be heading over as a group from the Kimmel Center. Tickets are $10, popcorn and soda included. Stop by the Student Resource Center with a non refundable $5 deposit (remainder to be paid the day of the game) and receive your voucher. Spots are limited, and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Military Screening Days

Free screening day! Feelings of stress are normal given the adjustments and sacrifices that military service members and their loves ones must make. We provide FREE screening and treatment to qualified service members and their families. For more information and locations click here.

NYC Veterans Day Parade
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009, 11 a.m.
5th Avenue from 26th to 56th st.

The Nation's Parade will feature over 20,000 participants, including veterans of all eras, active duty military, ROTC and Jr. ROTC units, civic and youth groups, all accompanied by music performed by a dozen of our nation's best high school marching bands. If you are interested in marching with an NYU group, please contact Lauren Carrescia - students, staff, alumni and friends are welcome!
