Holiday Arts and Music: Performances and Concerts

Attend a concert or performance or participate by singing along with the professionals!

  • Coming up on December 19th! Join your voices with the chorale and share holiday cheer in the streets of the West Village with the West Village Chorale - Caroling Walk. There is no cost and refreshments will be served! For more information, visit www.westvillagechorale.org.
  • Tickets are available for the Nutcracker performances by the New York City Ballet from now through January 3rd. For more information visit the NYC Ballet website.
  • The legendary Radio City Christmas Spectacular celebrates over 75 years of performances! Shows are going on now through December 30th. For more information, visit the Radio City Website.
  • Looking for cheap theater tickets? Throughout winter break check the NYU Ticket Central website for updates on available tickets. While Ticket Central offices will not be open, you can still find out what is available, as they will be updating their website information.   • TKTS Booths offer discounts to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows daily. Manhattan booth locations include the 47th Street and Broadway booth and the Front and John Street booth. The Metropolitan Museum of Art With two million works in the permanent collection, the Met could keep you busy for days. Visit www.metmuseum.org for more.
The Guggenheim Founded on a collection of early modern masterpieces, the Guggenheim Museum today is an ever-growing institution devoted to the art of the 20th century and beyond. Admission is "pay what you will" Fridays after 5:45 pm. Fifth Avenue and 89th Street. www.guggenheim.org
National Museum of the American Indian The architectural splendor of the Customs House now hosts exhibitions, performances, and video screenings that present the diversity of the Native peoples of the Americas from the earliest times to the present. American Museum of Natural History This museum covers an astonishing diversity of topics from Astronomy to Zoology. Don't forget to check out the Planetarium! Central Park West & 79th Street. www.amnh.org
Museum of Modern Art Admission is free for all visitors during Target Free Friday nights, sponsored by Target, every Friday evening, 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tickets for Target Free Friday Nights are not available in advance. For more information go to the MoMa website at www.MoMa.org.
The Brooklyn Museum of Art At the Brooklyn Museum's Target First Saturdays, thousands of visitors enjoy free programs or art and entertainment each month from 5-11 p.m. For more information about visiting the museum, go to www.brooklynart.org.
