History, art, culture and technology--all just a subway ride away. Many museums have student discounts or a "suggested donation" admissions policy.

National Museum of the American Indian The architectural splendor of the Customs House now hosts exhibitions, performances, and video screenings that present the diversity of the Native peoples of the Americas from the earliest times to the present. American Museum of Natural History This museum covers an astonishing diversity of topics from Astronomy to Zoology.
