St Patrick's Day

They say everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, but you don't have to be Irish to participate in one of the city's oldest celebrations.

St. Patrick's Day Parade Monday, March 17, 2008. 11:00 am starting at 44th St. and 5th Ave. Sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, this 246-year-old tradition is the world's largest St. Patrick's Day Parade. Irish Heritage Day at the NYC Police Museum Saturday, March 15, 11 am - 3 pm An afternoon of live Irish music, championship Irish step dancing performances, crafts, dance lessons, and lectures in celebration of Irish NYPD history. 100 Old Slip, South Street Seaport.
