Queering Musical Theatre

Curious about "queering" the musical theatre scene? Kimberlea Kressel from the recently produced musical Lesbian Love Octagon, Teresa Lotz and Rachel Kunstadt from the Duplex Cabaret Series LezCab talk about their experiences as queer womyn and the creation of a niche for queer womyn in musical theatre today.

Ambassadors play a crucial role in the recruitment efforts of New York University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Through campus tours, special events, conversations at the Welcome Center and on the telephone, Ambassadors have unique contact with prospective students and their families. As one of the most trusted sources in the admissions process, Ambassadors provide prospective students with an authentic representation of the undergraduate experience at NYU. The Resident Assistant (RA) s a paraprofessional staff member who lives on a floor in an undergraduate or graduate residence hall and serves as a role model, peer counselor, resource and referral person, advocate, policy enforcer, programmer and leader for residents of assigned floor(s). The RA also assista with daily emergenct coverage rotation, plans and implements social/educational programs. The primary goal of the RA position is the development of an environment conducive to the academic and personal growth of residential students. The RA reports to the Residence Hall Assistant Director (RHAD) and/or the Residence Hall Director (RHD).

Multiple (Eye)dentity Series featuring Mark Travis Rivera

The Multiple (Eye)dentity Series is comprised of films, performances and speakers that showcase the ways in which art and media are platforms for creating dialogue, sharing personal narratives, exploring issues of identity and diversity, and encouraging activism and social change. Mark Travis Rivera is a Latino, an activist, dance, choreographer, and writer. His dance company, marked dance project, is a contemporary-modern dance company that includes dancers with and without disabilities. Join us and learn more about Mark's journey and catch a sample of his amazing work!
