Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services Commuter Assistant Commuter Assistants are knowledgeable upperclass students who serve as a source of support for new undergraduate commuters. Students can contact CAs with questions about everything from getting involved on campus to managing time. Each new freshman and transfer student is assigned a Commuter Assistant – any new undergraduate student who doesn’t know his/her commuter assistant can contact Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services for that information. Commuter Circle Commuter Circle is a student-run programming board for The Off-Campus Student Council, and in conjunction with Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services, is dedicated to enhancing student life for NYU commuters by providing opportunities for students to meet and socialize, to get involved in campus life and make the most of their NYU experience. Commuter Circle sponsors a weekly lunch series, publishes the Commuter Circular newsletter, and plans events througout the year. Off-Campus Student Council The Off-Campus Student Council, or OCSC, is the voice of off-campus students. As the primary advocates for off-campus students, the OCSC expresses the concerns and needs of off-campus students to the university. The OCSC is composed of an executive board and elected representatives, but all off-campus students are welcome to attend meetings. If you want to make your voice heard, get involved with the OCSC!

	Commuters! This is your news on the move! College Learning Center Commuter Tutoring Session Thursday, September 17, 1pm Kimmel Center Commuter Lounge 2nd Fl Have questions about your classes? We are excited to announce that The College Learning Center now offers tutoring to support you with your academics in the Commuter Lounge. Every Thursday at 1pm stop by the commuter lounge to meet with a tutor. Come prepared with notes and or lecture materials. First come first serve. *CommUnity Information Sessions Wednesday September 16 at 12pm Or Thursday September 17 at 4pm Kimmel Center, 2nd Fl Student Resource Center*CommUnity is designed to bring together service-minded incoming first-year commuters to participate in community service projects. Commuter Luncheon Tuesday September 15, 12:30-2pm Room 914, 9th flr. Kimmel Center Come enjoy free food and meet up with other commuters. This week's lunch is sponsored by Commuter Circle and The Center for Student Activities, Leadership & Service. Hear about ways to enhance your student experience and learn about other programs and organizations at NYU. Commuter Alumni Network Meet & Greet Wednesday, September 16 5:30pm Kimmel Center Commuter Lounge 2nd Fl Whether you traveled to NYU by road or rail, this group is for you! The Commuter Alumni Network serves to build long-lasting connections between the alumni community and the current undergraduate commuter-student population. Attend the first Meet & Greet to network with NYU commuter alumni and find out about future programs. Commuter Escape: Karoake & Game Night! Thursday, September 17, 5pm Kimmel Center Commuter Lounge 2nd Fl ESCAPE FROM NYU ACADEMIA and take a breather with Commuter Circle as they bring you Karoake and Games Night. Venture into a world of Mario, Rock Band, Wii Sports, board games and Karoake. Refreshments will be served! This event is cosponsored by PLAY: The Games Club Join Commuter Circle on Facebook! Off-Campus Student Council Corollary Reps and Freshman Rep. Needed Wednesday, September 23, 5pm Kimmel Center Commuter Lounge 2nd Fl Want to get involved and promote commuter advocacy? Then consider being an OCSC Corollary Representative or a Freshman Representative. Corollary representatives help OCSC stay connected with the rest of the school student councils as well as help others stay connected with the commuter community! To learn more attend the next OCSC General Assembly Meeting. Join OCSC on Facebook! NJ Transit offers full-time students a 25% discount for bus, rail, or light rail monthly passes. This is an auto-subscription program, each month you will get a new pass unless you cancel or suspend your account. There is a $3 processing fee each month for the program. Students must sign up by the 10th of the month to receive a pass for the following month. If you are interested in signing up, go to www.home.nyu.edu and click Enroll under the NYU Life Tab.
