Reel Queer Film Series: Pariah
Thursday, October 18th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm | Kimmel Center, Room 802
Pariah is a film by NYU alum Dee Rees about negotiating identities, heartbreak, and family in a desperate search for sexual expression. This event is free and open to the public.

Grads do Community Service: Walk with us to Cure Lupus
Saturday, October 20th, 8:30am - 12:30pm | Meet at Kimmel Center Lobby at 8:30am
Volunteer with fellow NYU grads at the 9th annual New York City ‘Walk with Us to Cure Lupus’ walk-a-thon! This event changes lives and brings people together in the quest to end the suffering caused by lupus. Free food and t-shirts will be provided for volunteers during the event.
Volunteer duties will consist of directing walkers during the event and helping with clean-up afterwards.

Graduate Success Series: Procrastination & Time Management

Signing your Promissory Note was just the beginning. Join us for an informative discussion designed to help you plan for college spending and debt management on a graduate student's budget. This workshop will also include a Q&A panel with representatives from NYU Financial Aid, NYU Federal Credit Union, as well as banking and credit counseling professionals.

Interested in exploring issues of prejudice, diversity, tolerance, and cooperation? Join us for an afternoon at the Museum of Tolerance for a guided tour and admission to interactive workshops and exhibits! Afterwards, we will stop at Juniors for their famous cheesecake! Students with Children, Central Park Outing
Saturday, October 27, 11:30am - 1:00pm | Meet at W. 72nd and Central Park West Entrance
Does your little one love to explore? Are you interested in exposing your child to the natural wonders that can be found in NYC? Want to meet and socialize with other Grad Parents? Then join us for a guided and exploratory adventure through Central Park. This tour will be lead by a Masters Student in Environmental Conservation Education and is appropriate for children ages 4-8.

Grads Go Explore: Botanical Garden
Sunday, October 28th, 10:00am-1:00pm| Meet at Kimmel Center Lobby at 10:00am
Spend the day taking in 250 acres of beautiful plant life at the historic NY Botanical Garden! Take a break from the books and enjoy the fall weather with fellow grad students. Current exhibitions include: Monet’s Garden (described as a “stunning tribute to French Impressionist Claude Monet showcases a seasonally changing interpretation of the garden that inspired his art.”); The Haunted Pumpkin Garden, and The Edible Garden (Featuring Mario Batali’s Kitchen Garden). Space is limited.
