Grads Go To Ensemble of Afghanistan National Institute of Music
Tuesday, February 12, 6:45pm-10:00pm | Meet for 6:45pm at Graduate Residence Life Office at Washington Square Village Building #4, room 1A. (Washington Square Village #4 - off of Bleecker street, west of Mercer street)
Join us for this great show at one of NYC's most famous concert venues! The Afghanistan National Institute of Music make their American debut with a U.S. tour crowned by a performance at Carnegie Hall. Young Afghan musicians will perform orchestra and chamber music on both Western and traditional instruments. They will be joined by their contemporaries from American youth orchestras.

The Wasserman Career for Career Development and Four Block are hosting NYU alumn and author Mike Abrams. Mike Abrams joined the Marine Corps following the September 11th attacks, serving on active duty for seven years and deploying to eastern Afghanistan with an infantry company as the artillery forward observer. After leaving active duty, Mike attended New York University’s Stern School of Business, graduating with an M.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. While in business school, Mike co-founded a veteran mentoring program called Four Block. Mike is currently a Producer at CNBC. Learn how to properly network and build relationships with the people in their community who are most willing and able to help you launch your new career!
