CSC Presents: Commuter Welcome Back Lunch

Kick off the semester with your fellow commuters and a hearty FREE meal! Meet the Commuter Student Council, learn about the exciting events happening this year, and find out ways to get involved! This lunch is sponsored by Commuter & Off-Campus Student Programs.

SERVE! Community Service Project

11:30am – 12:30pm, Kimmel Center, 2nd Floor, Commuter Lounge
Join SERVE!, a group of service-oriented sophomores, juniors and seniors, as they make fleece blankets for the Bowery Mission. Come learn about homelessness in NYC and its causes and effects on society as a whole. Snacks and refreshments will also be SERVE!d. Afterwards, we will make the trip down to The Bowery Mission and deliver the blankets to the shelter!

together to create a group dedicated to community service. Come hear stories about their amazing alternative spring break trip to Atlanta, Georgia where they volunteered to work with elementary students from refugee families from all over the world. Comm*Unity Applications are now open!

CSC invites you to join them for some delicious ice cold Sno-Balls, New Orleans style ices, from Imperial Woodpecker. Chat with the eboard, find out about all the cool programs planned for the year, and learn about ways to get involved.

Coney Island Friday Fun

Join the Commuter Student Welcome Week Planning Committee for a whole afternoon of adventure at Coney Island. We will ride Luna Park's new rides, explore the famous boardwalk, and end the day with marine wildlife at the aquarium. Round trip MetroCards provided! This event is co-sponsored with Commuter Student Council.

FOCUS Mentorship Program
Do you want to make the most of your NYU experience? Then, FOCUS is the program for you! FOCUS is a structured mentorship program designed to offer first and second year undergraduate students who identify as first generation college students and/or students of color the opportunity to develop relationships with NYU Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Graduate Students or other professionals who can serve as resources and/or advocates through establishing an ongoing mentoring relationship.
