Inspired by PostSecret, an online collection of over a million anonymous secrets on postcards, NYU Commuter Assistants have put together YOUR DEEPEST DARKEST, an event that will give you a chance to have that huge weight lifted off your shoulders! Join CSC, Serve! and the Health Promotion Office for a Clothesline Project Workshop and Domestic Abuse Awareness event! The Clothesline Project provides survivors of sexual violence and their allies with an outlet for expression and serves as a way to educate the community about sexual violence. We will be creating shirts to represent the courageous voice of a survivor or an ally who is breaking the silence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this is your chance to help raise awareness!

Kick of Commuter Appreciation Week by joining SERVE! in the New York City Vision Walk to help raise money for retinal degenerative disease research with the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Meet at Kimmel at 7:45am or 8:30am at Central Park Bandshell at CP West and West 72nd Street.

Torch (First-Year Commuters Only)

Torch is a tradition that reunites first-year commuters with their commuter assistant to celebrate the completion of their freshman year as well as the successes of the commuter freshman body.
Wednesday 4/25 5-8pm Commuter Lounge
We're turning the Commuter Lounge into a mini Coney Island, with games, face painting, sketching, popcorn, cotton candy and much more. Snacks and drinks will be provided, as well as various prizes, a lot of entertainment and an all-around good time!
Thursday 4/26 6-8pm Commuter Lounge
The participants in this first-year commuter service-learning group show the greater community what they have been involved in all year long. Presentations from students showcasing their leadership skills, refreshments, and smiles are guaranteed.

A gathering of college and university commuter organizations from the tri-state area to collaborate on advocacy and programming ideas in hopes of creating a stronger presence on the national level.
Friday 4/27 6pm-10pm Spirit Cruises at Chelsea Piers
A chance for NYU commuter students to party! Enjoy a night filled with good food, great music and lots of fun while sailing around the city.
