Fr. Vincent DeLucia, O.P.
University Chaplain


Vincent DeLucia, O.P., Director of the Catholic Center at NYU is a Dominican Friar of the Province of St. Joseph, comes to us from Providence College where he served in a variety of ministerial positions. He was the college Chaplain for four years, and later served as Pastor of our Dominican parish of St. Pius V in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon returning to Providence College, Fr. Vincent taught theology and Art History in the Development of Western Civilization.

Fr. Vincent holds an undergraduate degree in Medieval History, a Master of Divinity and the Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. (Dominican House of Studies). He also holds an M.A. in Art History from Harvard University. Fr. Vincent has completed his course work for the doctorate in theology.

Ordained a priest in the Order of Friars Preachers since 1994, Fr. Vincent hails from New Haven, Connecticut.
