The Silver School of Social Work offers exciting opportunities to participate in study abroad programs developed by the faculty. Examine social policy and social work practice, and contemporary social, political, and economic issues from a global perspective while gaining a deeper understanding of other cultures. Through an international lens, focus on recent debates and classic controversies in clinical theory, and conduct community-based assessments of health and social welfare issues. Several options allow students to have a language immersion and reside with local families. Through the global experience, students are encouraged to reflect on social conditions and the multicultural values, ethics, ideologies, and approaches used in social work practice.
