An exploratory option for people interested the field of social work but who have not been admitted to the MSW degree program.
One or two courses a semester may be taken without making a commitment to a degree program (maximum of 12 credits). Students later admitted to the master's program may receive credit for as many as four courses (12 credits), from the following:
- Social Welfare Programs and Policies I
- Ethnocultural Issues in Social Work Practice
- Human Behavior in the Social Environment I
- Human Behavior in the Social Environment II
- Skills in Interpersonal Communication
Students enrolled in other schools in the University are invited to register for courses given in the School of Social Work for which they have the appropriate educational background.
